LAD/Blog #7: Washington's Proclamation of Neutrality

Washington's Proclamation of Neutrality is an acknowledgement of the the start war between foreign powers.  In it, Washington says United Sates citizens respect the actions of the nations in the war but that the United Sates will not intervene. It is also warned that any citizens that try to provide aid or preform hostile actions to any within the war are no longer under United States protection and may be prosecuted.
Woodrow Wilson also issued a proclamation of neutrality at the beginning of  World War I.
